Ben Shires is a well-known British television presenter and comedian, primarily recognized for his contributions to children’s programming. He first gained prominence as the host of CBBC’s Official Chart Show and the BAFTA-winning series Horrible Histories: Gory Games. Shires has also hosted the Netflix show Project MC² and participated in various live events, including BBC’s Children in Need and the CBBC Summer Social Festival. Besides his presenting roles, he has worked as a writer, developing the show Step Up to the Plate, and as a published author, releasing his children’s book “Ultimate Champions: The Definitive Guide to the Greatest Sporting Legends” in 2019.
Interestingly, Shires initially pursued a career in law before transitioning to television and comedy. He is widely known for hosting the Guinness World Records-themed children’s show Officially Amazing and working as a radio presenter on Heart Yorkshire.
