Bernie Taupin is an English-American songwriter, lyricist, and visual artist, renowned for his extensive collaboration with Elton John that began in 1967 and has continued for over 50 years. As the lyricist for the majority of John’s songs, Taupin has contributed to hits such as “Your Song,” “Bennie and the Jets,” and “Crocodile Rock.” Besides working with John, he has also written songs for various artists, including Alice Cooper, Heart, Melissa Manchester, Starship, Rod Stewart, and Richie Sambora. Apart from his songwriting career, Taupin is a talented visual artist and has published a book titled “Scattershot: Life, Music, Elton & Me.”
