Bert Remsen (1925-1999) was a versatile American actor and casting director who enjoyed a successful career in the film and television industry. He appeared in popular movies and TV shows such as “Nashville,” “The Bodyguard,” “Hooper,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Miracle Mile.” Additionally, Remsen co-wrote the screenplay for the film “The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing.” Known for his stocky, gritty appearance and strong, lined features, he amassed a half-century of stage and screen credits despite suffering severe back injuries. Remsen initially began his career as an actor, transitioned to a casting director after an accident, and later returned to acting. He passed away on April 22, 1999.
