Bill Dauterive, voiced by Stephen Root, is a prominent character in the long-running animated TV series “King of the Hill,” created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. Introduced in 1997, Bill is a divorced, middle-aged man who works as an Army barber and lives in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas. He is best friends with the show’s protagonist, Hank Hill, and is often seen hanging out with Hank and their friends Dale Gribble and Boomhauer. Despite his many setbacks and insecurities, Bill remains a loyal and caring friend to those around him.
