Bill Travers was a multifaceted English talent, known for his work as an actor, screenwriter, director, and animal rights activist. He rose to international prominence with his role in the film “Born Free” and appeared in other notable movies such as “Ring of Bright Water” and “Gorgo”. Alongside co-founding the Born Free Foundation, Travers directed the Academy Award-winning documentary “The Lion”. He had been married to Virginia McKenna and Patricia Raine before his death on March 29, 1994, in Dorking, Surrey, England.
