Black☆Star, born Yutaka Nakamoto on April 14, 1985, is a Japanese pianist, composer, and arranger known for his unique blend of classical, jazz, and electronic music. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he began playing the piano at the young age of three, showcasing exceptional talent. He went on to study classical piano at the prestigious Kunitachi College of Music, graduating with honors in 2007.
Blackâ Star started his professional music career in 2008, collaborating with various artists and gaining recognition for his unique musical style. He released his critically acclaimed debut album, “New Beginning,” in 2010, which was followed by several successful albums. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. His performances have taken him to prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House.
