Brandon Saad, a professional ice hockey player, currently represents the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. He first gained prominence as part of the Chicago Blackhawks, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2013 and 2015. Saad has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, and St. Louis Blues. In 2023, he joined the St. Louis Blues, where he had a relatively underwhelming season, scoring 19 goals and 18 assists in 71 games.
Saad has had a successful international career, representing Team USA and winning a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in 2011 and the 2010 IIHF World U18 Championship. He has been named to the NHL’s All-Rookie team and participated in the NHL All-Star Game.
In 2016, Saad and his wife established “The Saad Foundation,” which focuses on charitable causes related to education, health and wellness, youth sports, and veterans and active military.
Before joining the NHL, Saad played for the Mahoning Valley Phantoms and Saginaw Spirit.
