Brandon Walters, an Indigenous Australian actor, gained international recognition for his portrayal of Nullah, a mixed-race boy abandoned during World War II, in the 2008 film “Australia.” He has also appeared in movies such as “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” and “Red Hill.” Walters received the Best Young Actor Award from the Film Critics Circle of Australia for his role in “Australia” and made a guest appearance on the TV show “Deadly Yarns II.” Besides his acting career, he has spoken about his pride in his Indigenous heritage and participated in initiatives to support and educate Indigenous youth. Notably, Walters overcame leukemia at age 6 after spending a year in a Perth hospital.
