Charles Farrell (1900-1988) was a renowned American actor who rose to fame for his roles in silent films and early talkies. He was particularly popular for his onscreen chemistry with actress Janet Gaynor, with whom he starred in films such as “7th Heaven”, “Street Angel”, and “Lucky Star”. Farrell started his career as an extra and bit player at Paramount Pictures before joining Fox Studios. He also enjoyed a successful television career, appearing in shows like “My Little Margie” and “The Charles Farrell Show”. Besides acting, Farrell was involved in real estate and owned a golf course in Palm Springs. A devout Catholic, he had a chapel dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi built on his golf course. Farrell passed away in 1988 in London, England.
