Charles T. Russell, also known as Pastor Russell, established the International Bible Students Association, which eventually transformed into the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is best known for his work “Studies in the Scriptures,” a collection of bible study guides that disseminated his teachings. Russell played a significant role in founding the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, the core of the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization. He also championed free speech and contributed to the evolution of bible study methods. However, some of his teachings and publications were influenced by his belief in pyramidology, the idea that the Great Pyramid of Giza contained prophetic meanings.
