Conrad Robert Murray, born on February 19, 1953, in St. Andrew, Grenada, is a Grenadian-born American cardiologist who gained notoriety as the personal physician of pop singer Michael Jackson. Murray completed his medical degree at the University of the West Indies in 1977 and later specialized in cardiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. He practiced medicine in California, Texas, and Nevada before being hired as Jackson’s personal physician in 2009.

Murray’s association with Jackson was short-lived, as the pop star passed away later that same year. In 2011, Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death, making him the first physician to be convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a patient in the United States. He served two years in prison and was released in 2013. As a result of his conviction, Murray’s medical license was revoked in California, Texas, and Nevada.

Since his release from prison, Murray has written a book about his experiences with Jackson, titled “This Is It! The Secret Lives of Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson.” Despite the controversy surrounding his involvement in Jackson’s death, Murray’s story provides a unique perspective on the life of one of the world’s most famous entertainers.
