Cuba Gooding Sr. was an American singer and actor who rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the soul group The Main Ingredient, with popular songs such as “Everybody Plays the Fool” and “Just Don’t Want to Be Lonely.” In addition to his music career, he appeared in films like “The Big Score” and TV series like “MacGyver” and “Hawaii Five-O.” A member of the activist organization The 100 Black Men of America, Gooding Sr. also supported various philanthropic causes. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 72.
