Dan Fogler, an American actor, comedian, writer, and director, is best known for portraying Jacob Kowalski in the Fantastic Beasts film series. In 2005, he received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Broadway. Fogler has lent his voice to Zeng in Kung Fu Panda and appeared in TV series such as The Walking Dead and The Goldbergs. He co-created the comic book series Brooklyn Gladiator, authored the graphic novel Moon Lake, and wrote the children’s book series The Stonewall Chronicles. Additionally, Fogler is a talented drummer who has played in various bands throughout his life.
