David Moss, born on December 28, 1981, in Livonia, Michigan, is a retired NHL ice hockey player. He played as a right winger, known for his two-way smarts and quick shot. Moss began his professional career with the Calgary Flames in 2006, where he played for six seasons before joining the Phoenix Coyotes. Throughout his career, he participated in six leagues, including the North American Hockey League, United States Hockey League, Central Collegiate Hockey Assn. – Div. 1, American Hockey League, National Hockey League, and Switzerland National League A. Moss led the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the AHL in goals and points during the 2005-06 season. In 2015, he signed a professional tryout contract with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL and later played for EHC Biel of the Swiss NLA during the 2015-16 season. Moss was selected by the Calgary Flames in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft with the 220th overall pick and retired from professional hockey in 2016.
