David Ogden Stiers was a renowned American actor and voice actor, most recognized for his portrayal of Major Charles Winchester in the television series M*A*S*H. He also provided his voice for various Disney characters, such as Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast and Jumba in Lilo & Stitch. His other significant works include The Dead Zone, Doc, and Stargate Atlantis. In 1992, Stiers won a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for his narration of The Boy Who Loved Stories. Additionally, he was an accomplished musician and conductor, leading over 70 orchestras, including the Oregon Mozart Players and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
