Dion Dimucci, commonly known as Dion, is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Renowned for his hit songs “Runaround Sue” and “The Wanderer,” Dion’s music is considered classic rock and roll. His other notable works include “A Teenager in Love,” “Ruby Baby,” “Drip Drop,” “Donna the Prima Donna,” and “Abraham, Martin and John.” Dion has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received numerous awards for his contributions to music.
Throughout his career, Dion has incorporated elements of doo-wop, pop, rock, R&B, folk, and blues into his music. Despite struggling with drug addiction, he eventually got sober and became an advocate for addiction recovery and support programs.
