El Macho, born Armando Gutiérrez on August 15, 1968, rose to prominence as a celebrated Mexican wrestler. His journey began in local wrestling promotions before he captivated audiences nationwide with his signing to “Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide” in 1995.
Throughout his illustrious career, El Macho achieved remarkable feats, becoming a fan favorite and securing numerous championships. He holds the record for winning the AAA World Heavyweight Championship an impressive four times and triumphed in the prestigious “Rey de Reyes” tournament in 2001. His international acclaim extended to Puerto Rico, where he claimed the World Wrestling Council (WWC) Universal Heavyweight Championship.
