Enoch Adeboye, born on March 2, 1942, is a Nigerian pastor and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is renowned for leading one of the fastest-growing Pentecostal churches in Nigeria and has a global audience. Adeboye holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos and worked as a lecturer in Mathematics before becoming a full-time minister.
Under Adeboye’s leadership, the RCCG has experienced tremendous growth, establishing the RCCG Camp Ground, Redeemed Christian Bible College, and RCCG School of Disciples. He has authored over 60 books on Christian living and spirituality and received numerous awards, including the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) from the Nigerian government.
Adeboye is known for his humility, simplicity, and passion for evangelism. He has preached in over 100 countries and is affectionately called “Daddy G.O.” by RCCG members. His strong faith and commitment to spreading the gospel continue to inspire millions worldwide.
