Florence Stanley, an American actress and comedian, gained recognition for her portrayal of Bernice Fish in the TV series “Barney Miller” and its spinoff “Fish”. Prior to her television success, she had an extensive career in theater. She also appeared in other TV shows such as “My Two Dads”, “The Golden Girls”, and “Coach”, as well as films like “The In-Laws” and “The Great White Hype”. Known for her exceptional comedic timing and flawless delivery, Florence Stanley was highly praised throughout her career. She passed away on October 3, 2003, at the age of 79 due to complications from a stroke.
