Ford Kiernan, a Scottish actor and comedian, is best known for portraying Jack Jarvis in the hit sitcom “Still Game.” Born in 1962, he initially worked as a tailor before transitioning into comedy and making his debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995. Alongside Greg Hemphill, Kiernan co-wrote and starred in “Still Game,” which gained immense popularity in Scotland. He has also appeared in films like “Carla’s Song” (1996) and “Gangs of New York” (2002) and lent his voice to the animated film “Sir Billi” (2012). A self-taught musician, Kiernan often plays guitar and sings at his comedy shows, even writing comedy songs about his character Jack Jarvis. His other television appearances include “Rab C. Nesbitt,” “High Times,” and “The Baldy Man.” Kiernan has received awards for his radio comedy work and has written and produced his own stage shows.
