Gabriele Ferzetti, an Italian actor recognized for his roles in both Italian and international films, appeared in over 160 movies throughout his career. He is best known for his role in the James Bond film ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ and other notable works such as ‘L’Avventura’, ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’, ‘Casanova 70’, and ‘The Night Porter’. Born Pasquale Ferzetti, he was an elegant and well-spoken actor who gained prominence in the 1950s and 60s. Ferzetti began his career in university plays before studying at the Rome Academy of Dramatic Art. In addition to his acting career, he was also a talented painter and sculptor. In 1991, he received a lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival. Ferzetti, one of Italy’s most prominent international stars during the 1950s and 60s, had a career spanning seven decades before passing away in 2015 at the age of 90.
