William James Myers, widely recognized by his ring name George “The Animal” Steele, was a multifaceted American personality who excelled as a professional wrestler, school teacher, author, and actor. He gained fame for his wild wrestling style and distinctive green tongue during his career in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which spanned from the 1960s to the 1980s. In 1995, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Steele also showcased his acting skills in films such as “Ed Wood” and “Dante’s Inferno”. He passed away on February 16, 2017, at the age of 79.
