With a record-breaking number of appearances in Serie A, Buffon is among the few players to have participated in over 1,100 professional career games. He is best known for his tenure at Juventus, where he secured nine Serie A titles. Buffon also enjoyed a fruitful international career, contributing to Italy’s 2006 World Cup victory. His impressive accomplishments include receiving the UEFA Goalkeeper of the Year award four times and participating in three European Championships and four World Cups. Buffon retired from professional football in 2023 at 45 years old.
