Gracie Allen, an American vaudevillian and comedian, gained international recognition as the eccentric partner and comedic counterpart of her husband, George Burns. She appeared in over 25 films, often with Burns, and had notable roles in “The Gracie Allen Murder Case” (1939) and “Mr. and Mrs. North” (1941). Praised by her co-star Bea Benaderet as one of the greatest actresses of their time, Allen entertained audiences through vaudeville, radio, film, and television for more than four decades until her death in 1964.
