Guy Wilkerson was an American actor, comedian, and stunt performer who gained fame for his roles in western movies during the 1940s and 1950s. He was particularly known for playing Panhandle Perkins in the radio and television series “The Lone Ranger” and for his appearance in the classic western film “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”. Some of his other notable works include “The Three Mesquiteers”, “Under Western Skies”, “Hondo”, and “Apache Warrior”. Born on December 21, 1899, in Whitewright, Texas, Wilkerson began his career in vaudeville shows before transitioning to film. He also starred in “Captain Midnight” (1942), “The Pinto Bandit” (1944), and “Enemy of the Law” (1945). He passed away on July 15, 1971, in Hollywood, California.
