Introduced in 1992’s Mortal Kombat, Hanzo Hasashi, also known as Scorpion, is an iconic character in the fighting game franchise. Originally a human ninja from Japan, Hanzo’s tragic demise led to his resurrection as a vengeful specter by the sorcerer Quan Chi. As Scorpion, he possesses supernatural abilities such as the signature “Spear” projectile, teleportation, and control over fire and hellish creatures.
Throughout the Mortal Kombat tournaments, Scorpion’s quest for revenge and loyalty to the Shirai Ryu clan drive his actions. Despite his limited personal life as a specter, he forms complex alliances and rivalries, most notably with Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei clan.
