Hermann Göring was a prominent figure in Nazi Germany, recognized for his role in developing the German Air Force and holding leadership positions within the Nazi Party. He was deeply involved in the persecution and genocide of Jewish people during the Holocaust. Göring was also an avid collector of art and furniture, amassing a vast collection that he expanded by plundering art from occupied territories during World War II. As a decorated fighter pilot in World War I, he joined the Nazi Party in 1922 and rose to become one of its top figures. Göring played a significant role in organizing the Nazi police state in Germany, including the establishment of the Gestapo.
