She initially gained fame as a vocalist with top Irish showbands before transitioning to a successful solo career. Lee’s song “White Horses” reached the UK top ten in 1968. A musical prodigy, she won a scholarship to train as a soprano for four years before beginning her professional career. From 1959 to 1964, she was a member of the group The Raindrops, which is another notable aspect of her musical journey.
