Jessica Lynch, a former Private First Class in the United States Army, gained prominence during the 2003 Iraq War when she was captured by Iraqi forces and held as a prisoner of war for nine days before being rescued by American troops. She is best known for her book, “I Am A Soldier Too: The Jessica Lynch Story,” in which she shares her experiences during her captivity and service in the Army.
