Joan Lunden, an American journalist, author, and television host, is renowned for her nearly two-decade tenure as co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America. Besides this, Lunden has hosted shows such as Today and Behind Closed Doors and contributed to ABC News. As an author, she has written over ten books, including Chicken Soup for the Soul and A Bend in the Road is Not the End of the Road. Lunden has also appeared in movies like Thank You for Smoking (2005), Conspiracy Theory (1997), and What About Bob? (1991). Her significant contributions to journalism and broadcasting have earned her numerous awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award. After undergoing a heart transplant in 2015, Lunden has become an advocate for organ donation.
