Joe Allen, an American theatrical producer and restaurateur, is renowned for establishing the famous Joe Allen restaurant in New York City’s Theater District. He has produced several successful Broadway shows, such as “Sweeney Todd,” “Annie,” and “Ain’t Misbehavin’.” Additionally, Allen participated in the production of the film adaptation of “A Chorus Line” and the TV movie “Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years.” Apart from his work in the theater industry, Allen once co-owned Orso, another well-known restaurant in New York’s Theater District, before selling his share in 2006. Notably, Allen began his club career at Swansea City, where he was part of the youth set-up from an early age.
