Joe Bryant, commonly known as Jellybean, is a former professional basketball player, coach, and businessman hailing from Philadelphia. He had a notable career playing for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA, as well as in Italy and France. Joe Bryant is best known for being the father and mentor of NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. In addition to his playing career, he has coached the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks and had coaching stints in Japan. Joe Bryant was inducted into the Lower Merion High School Hall of Fame.
