Joe Kelly, a right-handed pitcher recognized for his powerful sinker, gained prominence in 2020 when his taunting of Carlos Correa’s grievances regarding a close hit by pitch went viral on the internet. Kelly made his MLB debut in 2012 with the St. Louis Cardinals and secured a World Series title with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020. He played baseball at Corona High School in California before attending the University of California at Riverside. Despite not being inducted into the Hall of Fame, Kelly has completed five seasons in the MLB. In 2023, he was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right forearm inflammation.
