Some of his other notable works include “California Dreamin’,” “Che Sarà ,” “Chico and the Man,” and “Affirmation.” In 1968, he made history as the first Latin artist to perform the U.S. National Anthem at a World Series game, a moment that was both controversial and groundbreaking in American popular music.
