Josip Elic (March 10, 1921 รขยย October 21, 2019) was an American actor renowned for his portrayal of Mancini in the 1975 film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” His other notable film appearances include “Black Rain” (1989) and “The Producers” (1967). Elic had an extensive career in both film and television, with memorable roles in “Kojak,” “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,” and “The A-Team.” A multilingual actor, he was fluent in Croatian, German, Italian, and English. Elic authored a memoir called “The Naked Stage,” which chronicled his experiences as a mid-20th-century actor. He passed away at 98 years old in River Edge, New Jersey.
