Juan Camilo Zúñiga Mosquera, commonly known as Juan Camilo Zuniga, is a Colombian professional soccer player who has made significant contributions to the sport. Born on December 14, 1985, in Chigorodó, Colombia, Zuniga began his soccer journey at a young age, inspired by his father, who was also a soccer player.
Zuniga’s professional career took off in 2005 when he joined Atlético Nacional in Colombia. He made his debut for the Colombian national team in 2008 and went on to play for several renowned clubs in Italy, including Napoli and Bologna. In 2015, he joined Watford F.C. in the English Premier League before returning to Atlético Nacional in 2018.
Throughout his career, Zuniga has achieved notable successes. He won the Colombian Primera A championship with Atlético Nacional in 2007 and 2011. With Napoli, he claimed the Coppa Italia in 2012 and 2014. Zuniga was also an integral part of the Colombian national team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
