Lawrence Kenneth Pennell, known as Larry Pennell, was a renowned American actor who starred in over 200 films and television shows. Some of his most notable roles include Lt. Billings in “Ripcord” and Dash Riprock in “The Beverly Hillbillies.” He also made appearances in popular series such as “The Twilight Zone,” “The Outer Limits,” and “General Hospital.” Before his acting career, Pennell was a professional baseball player for the Boston Braves. Besides acting, he was an accomplished pilot and flight instructor, having learned to fly during his service in the United States Army. He later shared his passion for flying by teaching others as a flight instructor.
