Lisa Jakub, a Canadian writer and yoga instructor, was once a prominent actress known for her roles in popular films such as Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), where she played Lydia Hillard, and Independence Day (1996), where she portrayed Alicia Casse. Her acting career also included appearances in Matinee (1993), Due South (1994-1999), and The Beautician and the Beast. Since retiring from acting, Jakub has become a mental health advocate and published her memoir, “You Look Like That Girl,” in 2015. As a certified yoga instructor, she teaches classes in her community to promote mental and physical well-being.
