Lubomyra Kowalchyk, known professionally as Luba, is a multilingual Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made a name for herself with her distinctive fusion of punk, folk, and world music. She rose to fame with her debut album “Chain Reaction” and its hit single “Everytime I See Your Picture”. Luba’s talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 1985 Juno Award for “Female Vocalist of the Year”. Fluent in English, French, and Ukrainian, her linguistic abilities have greatly influenced her music.
