Lynn Anderson, a celebrated American country music singer, was best known for her Grammy-winning hit “Rose Garden.” Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and raised in California, she was the daughter of country music artist Liz Anderson. Lynn’s career began in the late 1960s, and she gained fame in the early 1970s with her iconic song “Rose Garden.” She had several other notable works, such as “Cry,” “Keep Me in Mind,” “How Can I Unlove You,” “Top of the World,” and “You’re My Man.” In 1974, Lynn became the first female artist to win the Country Music Association’s “Entertainer of the Year” award. She also guest-starred on an episode of the TV show “Starsky & Hutch” in 1978. Lynn Anderson passed away on July 30, 2015, at the age of 67.
