Maddie Marlow, a talented singer-songwriter and guitarist, is best known as one half of the American country music duo Maddie & Tae. She rose to fame with hit songs such as “Girl in a Country Song,” “Fly,” and “Shut Up and Fish.” Alongside her successful music career, Marlow has made a cameo appearance in the sitcom Nashville and joined Dierks Bentley on a 27-city tour. She also contributed to the song “After the Hurricane” for the Hand in Hand telethon.
Inspired by the children’s book “Madeleine,” Marlow is known for her uniquely spelled name. A skilled musician, she can play various instruments, including the mandolin, banjo, piano, and ukulele, in addition to the guitar. Marlow honed her musical abilities during high school, where she was a member of the school’s jazz band. In November 2014, Maddie & Tae, the Nashville-based duo, released their self-titled EP.
