Malorie Blackman, a renowned British author and former Children’s Laureate, is best known for her critically acclaimed Young Adult series, Noughts and Crosses. With a repertoire of over 60 children’s books, including novels, short story collections, television scripts, and a stage play, Blackman has received numerous accolades, amassing more than 15 awards. In 2022, she made history as the first children’s and young adult writer to receive the prestigious PEN Pinter Prize. Some of her other notable works include Endgame, Crossfire, and Thief.
