Marmaduke Hussey, a renowned British businessman and former BBC chairman, played a significant role in shaping the broadcasting industry. During his tenure from 1986 to 1996, he oversaw the introduction of new radio and television channels and prepared the BBC for the digital era. Hussey is also known for his attempts to prevent Princess Diana’s infamous BBC Panorama interview. Apart from his work at the BBC, he was involved with organizations such as Barclays Bank, the Royal Opera House, and the English National Opera. He wrote two well-received books on the broadcasting industry in the 1990s. Hussey passed away in 2006 at the age of 83.
