Matt Walst, a Canadian musician and singer-songwriter, is best known as the lead vocalist for the rock band Three Days Grace. He joined the group in 2013 and has since contributed to several successful albums, such as “Human” and “Outsider.” In 2023, the band released their seventh album, “Explosions,” which was written and recorded amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. During this time, Walst also became a first-time father. Before joining Three Days Grace, he was part of the rock band My Darkest Days, with notable works including “MDD,” “Sick and Twisted Affair,” and “Porn Star Dancing.” Walst has actively participated in the songwriting process for Three Days Grace, co-writing tracks like “Let You Down” and “Scared.” An interesting fact about him is that he managed to balance writing and recording the band’s seventh album while becoming a new dad during the COVID lockdowns.
