Max Brooks, an American author and lecturer, is renowned for his contributions to the horror and science fiction genres, particularly his focus on zombie stories. He gained significant recognition with his book “World War Z,” which was later adapted into a successful film. Brooks has also written and produced for various television shows and movies, such as “Saturday Night Live” and “The Great Wall.” He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Spike TV Scream Award for Best Graphic Novel. Some of his other notable works are “The Zombie Survival Guide,” “Minecraft: The Island,” and “Harlem Hellfighters.” Besides his writing career, Brooks serves as a senior fellow at the Modern War Institute at West Point, New York.
