Meg Ryan could be best remembered for her hit movie ‘When Harry Met Sally…’ (1989) which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She went on to star in other successful films like ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ (1993), ‘You’ve Got Mail’ (1998), ‘City of Angels’ (1998), and ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’ (1994).
She used her grandmother’s maiden name Ryan for her screen name upon joining the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Her screen name Meg Ryan is also an anagram for the word Germany.
An asteroid is named after her – the 8353 Megryan.
