Michael Anthony Sobolewski, also known as Michael Anthony, is an American musician who gained fame as the bassist for the rock band Van Halen from 1974 to 2006. During his tenure, he played bass guitar and provided backup vocals on iconic songs such as “Jump,” “Panama,” and “Runnin’ With the Devil.” Anthony has also collaborated with artists like Sammy Hagar, Roger Daltrey, and Chickenfoot, and contributed to movie soundtracks for films like Twister, Lethal Weapon 4, and Lost Boys: The Tribe. In 2007, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Van Halen.
In recent years, Anthony has been involved in various projects, including forming the supergroup Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar and releasing albums with them. He is also working on a new project alongside Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X, Aerosmith live drummer John Douglas, and an undisclosed vocalist. Additionally, Anthony is known for his line of hot sauces called Mad Anthony’s Cafe, which has gained popularity among fans and the general public.
