Nigel Lythgoe OBE, also known as Nasty Nigel, is an accomplished English television and film director, producer, and dance competition judge. He gained prominence as the creator and executive producer of popular shows like “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” where he also served as a judge. Lythgoe’s extensive career includes working as a former dancer in the Young Generation, a choreographer, and producing and directing various television programs such as “Popstars,” “A Chorus Line,” and “All-American Girl.” He has been recognized with multiple awards, including three Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2021, Lythgoe collaborated with Triller Fight Club to develop a new series titled “So You Think You Can Fight.”
