Pauline Perpetua Sheen MBE, professionally known as Pauline Quirke, is a renowned English actress. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Sharon Theodopolopodous in the long-standing comedy series “Birds of a Feather” (1988–1999, 2014–2017), for which she received the 1990 British Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. Quirke’s other notable appearances include roles in “Broadchurch,” “Emmerdale Farm,” and “The Sculptress.” Besides her acting career, she co-founded the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts. In 2004, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her contributions to acting.
