Notably, he was the first Latino wrestler to win the WWF Championship in 1971. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Morales became the first-ever WWE “Triple Crown” Champion and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was a popular figure among Latino audiences and held various championship titles, such as the Intercontinental Championship and World Tag Team Championship. Before entering the wrestling world, Morales briefly pursued a career in professional boxing. He passed away on February 12, 2019, at the age of 76.
